Intelgamer has posted a short preview of Nexagon: The Pit, Strategy First's upcoming squad-based fantasy/Sci-Fi combat RTS game.
The premise of the game is simple, buy or select a squad of troops, place them on the battlefield and go out to smash the enemy’s crystal. Implementation is a bit trickier. Different troop units have different functions, for example, the golem is used to pound things, while a thief is used to disarm. Troops are placed on the battlefield, and you are provided plenty of time to set up your defenses. You can select any member of your troop by clicking his portrait, or select several members by dragging a box around them. Position your troops, lay your traps and figure out he best way to rip out your enemy’s heart. [more] |
