Why do you need to host on your machine? Why not pay for hosting? There are a lot of cheap hosts out there. I paid 50 bucks to host a site on GoDaddy for a year, that included my domain name.

GoDaddy? Are you joking? :-D Sure I know GoDaddy, Lunarpages, Servage, Webmasters, HostGator etc...but I will always prefer to have own server on 100mbit/s line.

well, I've been following GGmania for years now, and some of the friends I've introduced for it is - just like myself - normally checking it every day, and mostly several times a day..

from my home, work, phone...

I never registered before because I don't usually comment, but I'll definitely try to donate something - it's not going to be much as I'm still studying, and just used a lot on computer updates etc.. but I'll definitely try to donate something, even if it's just a little bit ^^

Part of the charm of this site these days is the old version of phpbb and the 90's 00's styling :p. Remember when the logo font was popular back in the day? You could probably use Joomla or Drupal and get phpbb converted to a newer version. Sub domain the forums to help with seo perhaps.

Seriously though, I put some mullah into Combat Sim years ago. It then went and got taken over and went pay-to-download. It was like tough to those that helped it. American site. Kinda got burned and no trust anymore.
Glad you made it hx and we'll done to those that helped.
My money now goes into our own home network and 'toys', which we've worked 20 long years to be able to build up our home and afford. One thing, our utility bills and fuel just keep getting higher and bloody higher! Although we still give to cancer charities. There's only so much you can help these days.
