New Baldur's Gate game in the works - briefly

Beamdog has confirmed that the mysterious "Adventure Y" is in fact a new Baldur's Gate game. It won't be a sequel, however, but will instead take place in the gap between the Enhanced Editions of the original game and Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn. Beamdog said the official announcement of the game-title, release date, that sort of thing—won't be coming until late spring, and that the release will be "something bigger than we've ever done before."

Do note that this new Baldur's Gate game is not Baldur's Gate III. Beamdog made it crystal clear that Baldur's Gate III is not under development.

I'd prefer 5th. Making it "Baldur's Gate", especially set between BG1 and BG2, seems extremely limiting to me. Not much time passes between the two games according to the story, leveling instantly becomes an issue(BG1 ends at level 7-9, BG2 starts at level 7-9 - where's the space for a game in between?), the setting - there's little space for new locations between BG1 and Amn, the characters - mostly the same again...
