New 2D Worms for PC hitting Steam - briefly

Team 17â€™s Martyn Brown has tweeted that a new 2D Worms title is heading to PC. We are pleased to announce a new edition of 2D Worms for PC! "Worms Reloaded" is coming soon via Steam. Details & features to follow...
I think they should just re-release Worms Armageddon and World Party, as one game with all content integrated, keep the server support as well as support for matchmaking and user made dedicated servers for when WormNET eventually stops supporting it, and start releasing games with new ideas instead of simply puttin back some of the content they took out a while ago...Well, we will see.

Update: Looks like developer Team 17 is trying to clarify exactly what their just announced PC game Worms Reloaded will be like. A new Twitter message states, "To clear up a little confusion, just one PC Worms title coming to Steam, it will be called 'Worms Reloaded'. Their Facebook page has a little more info, saying Worms Reloaded "is a an extended edition of the console versions of late." Hopefuly we will get more details soon.

yeah I'd go with that.

They should at least do something to improve whatever this Worms reloaded title is gonna be like.

On a sidenote why can't there be a 1vs1/team deathmatch played in realtime, not turn based, like Soldat... worms was turn based in a time when most had crap connections and poor pings(and yet funnily LAN gaming was still popular, still is despite the retards running the game industry) So realtime worms 2d style gameplay, destructible terrain, with most the classic weapon arsenal, it would fucking own with the right gameplay changes.

Team 17 would be dumb not pursue actually doing anything about it, but then again they did go onto making 3d worm flops that just don't have the same game satisfaction that the worms original 2d style has. And no doubt this Reloaded effort is just a cash in effort -so disappointing.

I hope they add propel high res wide support at least! I remember I was playing this with my ex-girlfriend's sister and she was sitting right beside me, wearing only a long blouse and her thong! Oh the joy when she shouted "you fucked me" whenever I landed a mortar on her worm's heads!

I never suggested they copy soldat exactly ya flaming tard! If anything the worms realtime gameplay would resemble something more like molez! not soldat, copying gameplay types isn't exactly innovation.. but who the fuck cares. It certainly would be innovation to the boring turned based worms gameplay. edit.. just found http://www.openlierox.net :)
