After (too) many complaints about people running amok against other players (especially newbies) for no apparent reason, we've decided to implement some changes to the current system. If not otherwise stated, all changes below are coming with the next patch. A) The sewers and inner city dungeons will no longer be a zone where you don't lose Soullight points. From the next patch on, these zone will reduce the Soullight, when you kill people with a positive SL. B) N.E.X.T. Inc. has informed us that they are no longer willing to provide an automatic backpack protection and recovery system for "evil" people. Thus backpacks from players who die, who have a Soullight darker than -16, will not be able to recover their backpack through a GenRep. Due to the lack of protection, the dropped backpack will also be lootable for everyone. C) Coming soon, but not with the next patch: Each player who dies drops his dog tags (an identification tag). This way you can use the forums to post a bounty on someone's head (id tag). E.g.: I pay 100k for 20 dog tags from "Joystick" (generic name, no offense intended) There will also be some changes to the Outpost battle system. Many weapon manufacturers have informed us that due to a technology breakthrough, their next series of auto-turrets will be way more effective. The newly developed generation of turrets also dispatches an emergeny message to the clan owning them, when they detect irreversible internal damage.
