Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Patch 1.010 - patch

Here is the first PC Patch Download for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
The following issues have been fixed in this patch:
 - Quad-core CPU's crash
- Dreamshots are corrupted in non-16:9 aspect ratios: If you configure your game with a different resolution that yields an aspect ratio that’s not 16:9, dreamshots and snapshots were corrupted. This has been fixed.
- Missing rain, snow and corona effects
- CL Eye driver crashes the game

New Features:
- D-Box motion chair support

Hello everybody!
I applied the patch, but the game still doesn't start, so no luck for the moment for this game to start.

Make sure antialiasing is not forced on in your ATI or nVidia panel as AA is known to cause crashes.

Also try tabbing out of the game, right-clicking the exe in the "processes" list of your task manager and using "set affinity" option to limit the game to just one core if you have a dual/quad core. This shouldn't be a problem after the patch though.

Also, if using Vista/7 try turning UAC off and launching the game. I have seen a few posts elsewhere that say that launching once with UAC switched off and then switching it back on can help.

game is the worst nfs ever. Nothing in it is good. Patch or not. It's plain retarded.
