NBA 2K21 will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, and Stadia on September 4 for $59.99, and for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X as a launch title this holiday for $69.99*, publisher 2K Games announced. The “Mamba Forever Edition,” which includes dual-access to the current- and next-generation versions, will cost $99.99. The current-generation version of the game will feature five-time NBA All-Star and Portland Trail Blazers’ standout Damian Lillar as the cover athlete, while the next-generation version will feature New Orleans Pelicans forward, 2019 1st Overall Pick and consensus 2019 National College Player of the Year Zion Williamson. The “Mamba Forever Edition” will feature NBA legend Kobe Bryant.

I'll never understand why digital copies of games aren't cheaper. They aren't printing the discs, don't deal with shipping/handling to stores, etc. They are just putting the game files online in a store. So why is the game the same price as a physical copy? Should be 5 dollars cheaper!

But that’s why I said about ‘buying into a license’ with a console. It gives them free reign to charge whatever. Plus of course you’ve been around long enough when boxes disappeared off shelves inc manuals and the freebies that went with it, game prices didn’t ever need to go up. In fact they said it would be cheaper without the overheads. Yeah, like wind turbines would mean cheaper electricity or electric cars would be cheaper to make etc. The pc is still the only platform that is fighting for sales and competes with other platforms like ubi, Epic and steam. They all regardless have sales at different times and you’ll get a game somewhere along the line what you want to pay for at the price that suits you. Unlike console
