Morrowind Summit (Fan page) has conducted an interview with Todd Howard, the project leader on the upcoming RPG Morrowind.
"MWSummit: Morrowind recently placed second in a poll on RPGPlanet, coming in behind Neverwinter Nights, which is being developed by Bioware (a company that has been in the spotlight for the past 2 years). How do you account for the fantastic show of support for Morrowind, given the span of time between it and its nearest sib, Daggerfall?
Todd Howard: I think we’ve benefited from some extremely good press on the game so far, and Daggerfall has aged very well and reached an almost mythic status as an RPG. Elder Scrolls was recently inducted into the GameSpy Hall of Fame, so obviously its impact is still being felt even though Daggerfall was released nearly 5 years ago. I think people get excited about unique games that have something new to offer either visually or in gameplay. I think Morrowind, and Neverwinter Nights, does both." [more]
