- Far Cry 4 Patch v1.4.0 - Steam
News announces the release of a new patch for Far Cry 4,
which updates the shooter sequel to version 1.4.0, addressing an issue
that caused a black screen and another that triggered a gray screen.
Disappointingly enough, this patch does not address the stuttering or
the SLI "black shadows" issues that have already been reported.
- SpellForce 3 Announced - After taking in the
community's ideas for a threequel
and apparently showcasing a prototype at this year's Gamescom,
Nordic Games surprised gamers with a press release today announcing the
formation of a new Munich-based studio called Grimlore Games,
as well as their first title - SpellForce 3. Here's to hoping the best
for the future of the new studio, as well as a triumphant return to the
RTS/RPG series. There are no screenshots, artworks, or any ETA. All I
know is that the game will be coming to the PC.
- Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues Early Access -
Early access to Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues is now available
through Steam, offering
the chance to check out Richard Garriott's return to fantasy
role-playing game design (and to Earth, for that matter). The game
currently carries a 15% discount along with warnings that it is still
in the pre-alpha stage of development.
- Original Elite for Free - With the release of Elite:
Dangerous nearing, the original 1984 version of Elite can be grabbed
for free from the
Elite:
Dangerous Store, allowing the chance to see what the fuss is all
about, or at least what it was all about back in a simpler, bygone
time.
- Dark Souls 2 coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2015 -
Dark Souls 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next year in an
enhanced version of the game called Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First
Sin, Namco Bandai and From Software announced today. The re-release of
Dark Souls 2 will come with the game's three downloadable add-ons and
new enhancements. The PS4 and Xbox One versions of Dark Souls 2 feature
updated graphics as well as new game content, including "an expanded
story featuring additional in-game events and NPC character along with
new deadlier enemies and gameplay improvements." Those improvements
will also be available for the PC release of Scholar of the First Sin,
which takes advantage of DirectX 11 for Windows. Scholar of the First
Sin will be released on April 7, 2015.
- Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- demo PS4 - An exclusive demo for
Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- is set to arrive on
PlayStation 4 today and it will only be available to subscribers of
PlayStation's premium service. The Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- demo will
open up the Arcade Mode storylines for bounty hunting badass Sol Badguy
and lightning king Ky Kyske. Training Mode will also be open for both
characters, allowing players to familiarize themselves with their
moves, as well as many of the latest Guilty Gear's new features. The
demo will last until December 8. Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- will arrive on
PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on December 16.
- Sony pulls PlayStation Vita ad filled with sexual innuendos
from YouTube - The ad is still set to private, although I'm sure
Sony is kicking themselves for publishing such an embarrassing video.
