- Europa Universalis III announced - Paradox Interactive has
officially announced
Europa Universalis III, the latest game in their long running historical
strategy game series. The game is set for release in the first quarter of
2007.
- Tycoon City: New York Interview -
Gamecloud has posted a brief interview with Jon Law of developer Deep Red
talking the game that's due to be released next week by publisher Atari.
- Splat Magazine Renegade Paintball demo - Cat Daddy has quietly
released
a playable demo for Splat Magazine Renegade Paintball, their budget-priced
paintball shooter, which they apparently prepared last November but forgot to
release until now.
- Nexuiz full install v1.5 -
There is an updated full install for Nexuiz, bringing this free futuristic
multiplayer deathmatch shooter based on the Quake engine by the Nexuiz Team to
version 1.5. This new version adds new modes, new maps, new characters,
enhanced bot AI, engine and multiplayer optimizations and more.
- World of Warcraft patch v1.9.4 - Blizzard has released
a new minor patches for World of Warcraft, bringing the US, UK, German and
French editions of their popular fantasy MMORPG to version 1.9.4. This update
adds a new Guild Recruitment channel and fixes "a bug that could cause players

- Topware to publish Xpand Rally in US -
Topware Interactive has acquired the exclusive rights to publish
Xpand Rally in the
North American market. Xpand Rally, the critically acclaimed PC racing title,
from established developers Techland, will be hitting the shelves in April of
2006 for only $19.99.
- Phantasy Star Universe Delayed Again - Phantasy Star Universe which
was recently pushed back to Fall 2006, has now been
changed back to "sometime in 2006."
- Lineage & Lineage II Accounts Stolen - The Korean online game
Lineage is played by a small army of fraudulent users who use the IDs of
others to register for the game. Fraudulent use of hacked personal information
on this scale is without precedent.
- Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure banned in Australia -
The game has been banned in Australia: "The federal Classification Review
Board ruled against the distribution of Atari's Marc Ecko's Getting Up:
Contents Under Pressure after it originally was granted an MA rating. The
board said the game gave users graffiti tips and positive reinforcement for
the illegal activity."
- Prostitutes Call For Ban On Grand Theft -
According to Gamespot, the Sex Workers organization is calling for a ban
on Grand Theft Auto. The organization quotes various points from Walsh's
paper, including, "Children are more likely to imitate a character with whom
they identify with. In violent video games the player is often required to
take the point of view of the shooter or perpetrator."
- Final Fantasy VII : Advent Children movie on April 25th - Sony
Pictures Home Entertainment is bringing the highly-anticipated CG-animated
film
FINAL FANTASY VII: Advent Children to DVD and for PSP on April 25th. FINAL
FANTASY VII: Advent Children will be coming to Special Edition DVD in a 2-disc
set (SLP of $26.96) as well as UMD video for PSP (SLP of $28.96). (thanks
