- Battlefield 2: Special Forces movie - Digital Illusions released
a new trailer showing off a load of action in the upcoming
Battlefield 2 expansion pack, Special Forces.
- Dreamlords movie - Lockpick Entertainment has released
a new movie
trailer for Dreamlords, showing off their upcoming 3D fantasy MMORTS. The
trailer clocks in at just over two minutes of in-game footage from an alpha
build.
- Black trailer (PS2/Xbox) -Minute
long gameplay video (27 MB) from Criterion's action packed shooter Black,
coming to PS2 and Xbox.
- HL2: Lost Coast Updated -
Updates to Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and the Source Engine have been
released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is
restarted. The specific changes include: Fixed a problem with commentary and
the save/restore problem. A symptom of this problem would be combine soldiers
standing with their arms outstretched.
- Gears of War Q&A (Xbox 360) - C&VG has posted
an interview with Epi's CliffyB and Mark Rein as they talk about its
forthcoming Xbox 360 exclusive action game, Gears of War.
- FaceFX / Havok FX Interview -
Gamecloud interviews OC3 Entertainment's Jamie Redmond about their FaceFX
technology that is being used with Unreal Engine 3.0. In realted news, they
also have posted
an interview with Havok's Jeff Yates as he talks about Havok FX, their
newly revealed GPU powered game physics technology.
- Star Wars Galaxies Revamp Plans -
A Producer Letter to the Community from Julio Torres of LucasArts (thanks
BluesNews)outlines
planned changes for the Star Wars MMORPG: "The primary areas of focus include
combat and profession and character development. The combat depicted in the
Star Wars films, fiction, and canon that we have all come to know and love is
fast-paced, action-packed, and visually intense."
- Splinter Cell 4 Teaser Site - Ubisoft has launched

- Pandemic, Bioware and Elevation Join Forces - Gamespot is reporting
that
Bioware and Pandemic will join forces with Elevation to create a holding
company. According to Elevation, the BioWare/Pandemic deal is even bigger than
the Eidos acquisition, being a "combined investment" of over $300 million,
including future funding.
- PS3 could run at 120 fps, claims Kutaragi - Sony Computer
Entertainment president
Ken Kutaragi has claimed that the PlayStation 3 will be capable of running
games at an unprecedented 120 frames per second - and suggested that
future television technologies will support these refresh rates (thanks

- The Da Vinci Code's Coming To A Console Near You - 2K Games
announced today an exclusive worldwide agreement with Sony Pictures Consumer
Products to publish and distribute
current generation console video games based on the highly-anticipated The Da
Vinci Code film by Oscar winning director Ron Howard, which is based on
Dan Brown's best-selling novel. The games are being developed by The
Collective, a division of Foundation 9 Entertainment and a top developer of
action titles. Timed to coincide with the film release date, The Da Vinci Code
games are expected to be available in May 2006.
- 25 To Life Coming January 18 (PC, PS2, Xbox) - Eidos has announced
that 25 to Life, their multiplayer oriented "cops and gangs" shooter, now has
an official release date of January 18, 2006 .
- Condemned: Criminal Origins Goes Gold (Xbox 360) - Sega has
officially announced that Condemned: Criminal Origins, the upcoming Xbox 360
exclusive first person crime action title from developer Monolith, has gone
gold. The game will be released to stores the same day the Xbox 360 launches
on Nov. 22.
