Microsoft has opened the door to so many things with this.... it's actually very cool.

lol would have to be a Japanese guy who made the software(looks pretty damn good aswel), demonstrated with hentai girl character with massive hair bangs to boot. :P

The homebrew 3d mocap scene would probably take off if kinect was upgraded to 640x480 or higher with at least 30fps. Right now 320x240 just ain't enough resolution for detailed and 'clean' animation, but it does provide basic motion capture and its definitely a lot cheaper and easier to setup than even attempting to do it semi professionally with mocap suit, multiple infrared camera's.

So far the best cheap mocap setup I've seen is with 4x PS3 eyecams (could buy those for less than a kinect, and they do 640x480 @60fps)
