Oh, Lord, It's Monday Again :) I spend the whole weekend with working on my new backup
PC and backups. It was pretty boring, but I sleep better knowing my vital
data is kept safe from disaster. I also plan to go buy an Asus WL-500g firewall.
If anyone has good/bad experience with this device, please let me know.

- Sony confirms PS3 will ship with in-built parental controls - Sony
has reaffirmed its commitment to the protection of minors from the effects of
violent videogames with
the announcement of in-built parental controls for its next generation PS3
console.
- Way down on the Gizmondo - The Gizmondo, an interesting game
device that has some unique features like GPS, a built in camera, and GPRS
data support, launched yesterday in the US. However, you can't take advantage
of nifty
location-based GPS features without plopping down extra cash for the
required mapping software ($169 for regional coverage, $249 for the entire
continental United States). A complete system bundle will go for $399.
- Shooters’ delight: Wolf Claw II keyboard -
The Wolf Claw II FPS keyboard lets you create your very own
ergonomically-correct “circle of death” with a circular layout of 40 dedicated
FPS keys. It also sports a more thumb-friendly vertical space bar so you can
pump a few extra rounds into your buddies in seconds flat.
Talking TV Remote Control Holder -
This clever/annoying
device detects when the remote is missing from its holder and periodically
says "Where's the remote?" and "Please put the remote back!" It even thanks
you once it's replaced.
- Sony PSP Giga Pack Comes to USA and Europe -
The Sony PSP Giga Pack (the
same PR for Europe users) includes the PSP System, a 1GB Memory Stick PRO
Duo, battery pack, AC adaptor, USB Cable, and an all-new PSP Stand. The PSP in
the Giga Pack will already have firmware 2.0 (not the new 2.5) pre-installed.
The Sony PSP Giga Pack will sell for $299 starting in November in the US.
- New AOC 20 inch LCD Monitor - The AOC Envision Series
20 inch EN2028 LCD monitor features 1600x1200 pixels, 12ms response time
and a 700:1 contrast ratio. Retail price for the EN2028 is $549.
- T-Mobile MDA Vario communicator unveiled - To support quad-band
GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz,
the
device will also offer GPRS and EDGE for high speed data transfers, as
well as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11b for shorter-range connections.

invites work for students and

- Robo-soccer kicks off for Christmas -
The world's first multi-player robot football game is set to launch
exclusively in the UK in time for the lucrative Christmas market. Dubbed Mr
Soccer, the hi-tech football game features radio-controlled robots. Players
manoeuvre the dribbling droids forward, back, left and right, and shoot to
score more goals than the opponent.

- UFO: Aftershock available in Europe - UFO: Aftershock was
released yesterday! It's available in many European countries, and can
be
bought as import in the US.
- Prussia's Glory Gold - Shrapnel Games and Boku Strategy
Games just announced that the second title in the Horse and Musket 2
series,
Prussia's Glory, has now reached gold status. Production will now
begin, with copies projected to ship on November 18, 2005.
- ETROM - The Astral Essence release date - PM Studios
informed us that
Etrom: "The Astral Essence", their 3D action-RPG, will be released
in Italy on November 16, 2005.
- The Sims 2 Holiday Party Pack - Planet The Sims has posted
box art
from The Sims 2 Holiday Party Pack, an upcoming mini-expansion

- THQ to publish Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel without a Pulse (EU)
- THQ and Aspyr today announced an agreement whereby THQ will
distribute
Stubbs the Zombie in "Rebel without a Pulse" in PAL territories.
The game is expected to be released for the PC and Xbox in November,
2005.
- Unofficial German F.E.A.R. Patches -
There
is "an uncut" patch which adds the game's uncut content to the
cut-down Deutsch edition.
- Gran Turismo Delayed to 2006 - Sony Computer Entertainment
officially
delayed the release of Gran Turismo 4 Mobile. The PSP entry in the
series is now listed at the official Japanese PlayStation website with
a release planned for some time in 2006, rather than the 2005 that's
been listed all this time.
