There's another batch of new releases this week: Barrow Hill,
Black & White II: Battle of the Gods, FIFA World Cup 2006, Guild
Wars Factions, Paradise,
Shadowgrounds and SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars.
Yeah, Benoit Sokal's (the guy behind the Syberia games) anticipated Paradise
finally comes out!
FYI: I have just finished Condemned PC
and must say that it is a good game! Expect a full review from me this week.
Here's some stuff:
- Asus N4L-VM DH Mobo - Core Duo On The Desktop -
The perfect place for this
motherboard will be in a Home Theater PC configuration.
- OCZ EL DDR PC-3200 2GB Dual Channel Platinum XTC -
check it out
- TRENDnet HotFlash TEW-429UF -
Combined wireless network locator,
802.11a/b/g USB adapter and access point as well
- The Intel vs. AMD Legal Battle Outline -
What are some of the possible
outcomes of the trial?
- Congress considers DMCA expansion - For the last few years, a
coalition of technology companies, academics and computer programmers has been
trying to persuade Congress to scale back the Digital Millennium Copyright
Act. Now Congress is preparing to
do precisely the opposite. Thank God I Don't Live in the USA.
- Most Common Ways To Kill a PC - That's a pretty old article (dated
Feb.03.05), but still a good enough
read.
- SSL/TSL and SSH not so secure anymore? -
There's no reason for panic. As
long as the client app is secure then there's nothing to worry about...
- Firefox for Windows x64 -
This guy
uses the Firefox open source code to
build 64
bit versions of Firefox for the public. Of course, these 64-bit versions
won't increase your speed much. So, you should also look for
unofficial builds at
http://pryan.org/phoenix/ for features your processor supports that
actually do make it lots faster.
- Virtually all current XP drivers on one CD -
So far
there are 8 driver packs that make up the entire project, supporting:
Chipset, CPU, Graphics, LAN, MassStorage, Sound, and WLAN. The final file,
Driverpacks BASE contains all the required documentation and batch files to
slipstream the drivers onto a Windows XP setup CD, and even includes an
UpdateChecker to ensure everything is as up-to-date as it can be.
- NeoDigits NeuNeo HVD2085 HD Up-Converting DVD Player -
It's not Blu-Ray, or HD DVD, but it
definitely performs.
- Play Nintendo DS against a Sony PSP - Someone on the DSWifi forums
has
created a homebrew app that will allow a person to play a game using a
Nintendo DS against a person with a Sony PSP (or other way around). Now, if
only the PSP had any games worth playing...
- Silent Hill Movie Gets Mixed Reviews -
So
far the responses online have been mixed, even within the same review.
- Ferrari 275 GTB driven by F1 driver through Paris at 140MPH (video) -
check it out!
- Prices of GAS acrossed the USA -
check it out
- Amazing Pictures of Manhattan -
This guy has some amazing HDR wideangles of Manhattan.
