system ran into difficulties, related to the enumeration of the cards with 2MB
(X-Fi XtremeMusic and X-Fi Platinum)
- Video iPod's own format & $1.99 a show may be a bad move - Just
before consumers start getting all excited about
the video iPod,
apparently Apple decided
to only support
QuickTime encapsulated MPEG4 & H264 video, which basically means that in
order for consumers to put video on it, they would need to purchase video from
their iTunes store or use QuickTime pro (costs $29.99) to re-encode their
video to suit their iPod.
- DVD Backup Solution with PSP Support - Bling Software has just
released
XCopy9, which allows users to backup DVD movies and transfer them to a
Sony PSP with just one click.
- The $500 Gaming Machine - Instead of the newest killer rig from
Alienware, Falcon Northwest, Voodoo, etc... how about a system for the rest of
us with
a realistic budget starting from scratch?
- Plextor PX-760A, the 18x burner -
Plextor has
announced the Px-760A in Japan, a burner that fills up your DVD+-R at 18x
and the DL at 10x... all in SATA or ATA.

The new 3G Walkman phone, which has a 2-megapixel camera and allows users
to download and browse video games and graphics, will be available at the end

- HP HW6715 Pictures - Dave's iPaq has
some high resolution photos of the new hw6715 up for our enjoyment. The
photos take a look at the unit itself along with some various pictures of the
Windows Mobile software.
- X5 expansion kit adds up to four drives to your Xbox -
The
X5 is an expansion kit that doubles the height of your existing box and
adds the room for four drives (not included), a couple of fans, and an
external knob for selecting which drive to run from. There is a decent amount
of work involved to modify your unit with this expansion, but the instructions
are fairly clear, and you won't be doing anything crazy like soldering to
execute them.
- New JVC MD Player XM-C17 with 250 Hours Battery Life -
The new JVC
XM-C17 MD Player features a amazing 250 hour battery life when playing in
LP4 mode. While that is cool, this MD player is not supporting MP3 file format
as some of the Sony MD players do.
- Free iRiver U10 -
iRiver Hong Kong has a hell of a weird promotion going on where you could
potentially get the iRiver U10 for free. This promotion is called the U10
Click Play Debut and runs until October 31. There are 10 conditions and for
each one that is met, a 10% discount is granted, so if all 10 conditions are
met, then the freeness will happen! LOL, I don't have 10cm long finger ;)
- Sony Ericsson Walkman FM Transmitter MMR-60 -
The Sony Ericsson Walkman FM Transmitter MMR-60 attaches to
Sony Ericsson Walkman phones equipped with the Fast port. The FM
Transmitter has a range of 10m. The Walkman phone accessory is controlled via
