CVG: We understand that you begin the expansion by jumping into Normandy with the 101st Airborne. Is this correct? Does what follows exactly plot the course of this outfit's conflicts in World War II?
McDermott: The campaigns within the game are based on actual conflicts that took place in World War II. The first mission takes the player back to Operation Overlord, or as it's more commonly known, D-Day. Players of the Medal Of Honor games will know this mission all to well from Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and Medal of Honor: Frontline. However, this time the player takes on the role of Sergeant Jack Barnes and a squad of paratroopers from the British 6th Airborne who parachuted into pre-dawn Normandy on a secret mission. The squad must destroy German artillery that will be firing on Omaha Beach, some five miles away. This is one of many objectives that the Airborne troops had to achieve as part of the D-Day operations of World War II and is very true to the history of that day's events.
