GameSpy has posted their
Camp EA impressions of Breakthrough, the second expansion pack for Medal
of Honor Allied Assault. Medal of Honor Allied Assault: Breakthrough is
currently scheduled for release this September, and should be the final
expansion for the acclaimed title, leading up to the release of Medal of Honor:
Pacific Assault in 2004. Here is an excerpt:
Like Spearhead, Breakthrough contains three single-player campaigns, this time set in Africa, Sicily, and then throughout Italy. Objectives (for the most part) will be similar to Allied Assault: destroy anti-aircraft guns, rescue people, drive tanks, and of course, shoot enemy soldiers. The game starts off with your character riding along in a jeep in a sequence similar in spirit to the one that opened Allied Assault -- you know things are going to go atomic at any moment, it's just a matter of when. As the jeep moved along, we could see lots of dust being kicked up, and then -- as expected -- chaos erupts and you find yourself scrambling for cover in a large battlefield.
