  • Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault Details- I already mentioned Pacific Assault announcement this morning, but once again, the sequel to last year's extremely successful Allied Assault, Medal of Honor Pacific Assault will start during the first disastrous moments of Pearl Harbor and follow the path of a young soldier through the first two years of World War II in the Pacific theater. Pacific Assault should be completed relatively quickly--by next January.
  • German Raven Shield SP Demo - The German single-player Demo for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (direct FTP link) is now available (224 MB). English version of the demo is expected some time today as well.
  • Activision to publish The Movies - Activision announced today that the company has signed an agreement with legendary U.K.-based game designer Peter Molyneux.  Under the terms of the agreement, the company has secured the exclusive worldwide rights to Molyneux's new project tentatively titled The Movies for the PC and all video game console platforms. The Movies currently is being developed by Molyneux's Lionhead Studios, whose last title, Black and White, sold almost 2 million units worldwide
  • Freelancer Available - According to this PR, Freelancer" is now available at leading North American retailers for an estimated retail price of $54.95 (U.S.) and is rated "Teen."
  • Video Games No Match for Fighter Pilot's Reality  - With the latest technology anybody can land a fighter jet on an aircraft carrier or shoot down enemy warplanes, at least in the virtual world of video games. The reality is very different. "The video game is a lot like flying simulators," says Capt. Scott "Notso" Swift, deputy commander of the airwing aboard the carrier U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln. "Simulators are good for training but it doesn't raise your adrenalin. It doesn't raise your heart rate."
  • Xbox Live Bursts Through 350,000-Subscriber Mark - Microsoft today revealed that more than 350,000 subscribers worldwide have joined the Xbox Live online game service. New downloadable content for "MechAssault," the popular Xbox Live-enabled game from Microsoft Game Studios, drove more than 172,000 downloads during the first week of availability.
