To all my readers who celebrate Christmas, a very Merry Christmas to you, hopefully you will be enjoying this time of the year with your family and friends! I'll be spending Christmas with my better half, nearly 5 months old daughter and family, so updates will be limited.

Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 Patch 1.2 - This v1.2 patch for Star Wars: Force Unleashed is for Retail US version of the game. This patch adds several performance and graphical optimizations and more after market controller support.
Back to the Future Episode 1 Released - Telltale Games now offers It's About Time, the first episode of Back to the Future: The Game.
Two Worlds II: Gold Edition - Two Worlds II Website now offers the release of Two Worlds II: Gold Edition, a free upgrade for all owners of Reality Pump's role-playing sequel.
Dreamlords: Resurrection Beta - Closed beta testing of Dreamlords: Resurrection is now underway, offering the chance to check out this MMORTS game.
CosmicBreak Launches - CosmicBreak officially launches today, offering a free-to-play third-person shooter with an anime/mecha theme.
Microsoft: no plans for Kinect firmware - I recently reported that Microsoft was rumored to be working on a new Kinect firmware which could quadruple the resolution of its motion tracking camera, but now Microsoft has come out and denied this - they're not making any firmware. MS spokesperson said: "We're constantly working to expand and improve on experiences for Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE, however, this rumour is completely unsubstantiated."
Xbox 360 N64 Emulator Demo Video - It uses a dynamic recompiler emulation core, gfx rendering is HW accelerated and uses pixels shaders, and of course the 360 CPU runs full speed. It's still buggy, but as you can see it's quite fast, I have yet to do some multicore optimisations to try to make it even faster.

Mass Effect PS3 Graphics Better And Worse Than Xbox 360 Version - Digital Foundry measured the two versions of the action RPG against each other. They found that, despite the fact that the PS3 ME2 uses an upgraded engine, it's not an across-the-board upgrade over its 360 counterpart. While it does feature higher resolution visuals and tighter shadows, it's lacking in effects like anti-aliasing and normal-mapping. Also, while the PS3 version irons out some of the FPS issues that occured with the busier scenes, there is more screen tearing at these times. It hits the PS3 in North America on January 18th and on the 21st in Europe.
