Enhanced graphics: All of the art assets in the game have been enhanced from their Xbox counterparts. Textures have been increased in resolution, models have been retooled to add extra detail, extra animations have been added, and extra effects have been included. The overall amount of detail for the game has been increased, and levels that felt lush on the Xbox are almost overgrown on the PC. In addition, we've been able to incorporate new graphical effects that we were unable to include on the Xbox version. You'll notice as you play that we have truly reflective water, and I honestly think that we have some of the best looking water I've ever seen in a PC game. We also have distortion effects on objects. Large explosions have visible shockwaves eminating from them, fires give off a subtle heat shimmer, and the dense foliage of the game is visibly disturbed by the passage of players and bots. Additional content: The PC version of Men of Valor ships with extra content for both the single player and multiplayer experiences. On the single player side of things, the "Hue Counter-Attack" mission from the Xbox has been renamed "Recapture the Citadel" and we've added two additional maps. These maps depict the heroic battle ARVN and Marine forces waged to retake the Palace of Peace from the hands of entrenched NVA troops during the Battle of Hue, and the new levels contain some of the most intense combat in the game. As far as multiplayer is concerned, we've crafted six additional multiplayer maps for online players to battle on. Each of these maps was designed from the ground up to play well with the 24 player limit of the PC version (as opposed to a max of 12 on the Xbox). Each of these maps was constructed with the same attention to detail, both graphically and historically, that the rest of Men of Valor was developed to. From the battle up the hill during Operation Starlite in 1965 to the battle to retake the Cholon district of Saigon during the Tet Offensive of 1968, players can recreate some of the most intense battles of the Vietnam War in authentic settings. Lastly, the PC version of Men of Valor ships with an additional multiplayer gametype, Frontline. Frontline is a hard-nosed fight for dominance on the battlefield with each team struggling to control all the capture points in the map, and has proven to be one of our more popular multiplayer gametypes. Retuned and rebalanced gameplay: One of the main goals of the PC team here at 2015 was to provide more than a mere port of the Xbox version of the game, and I'm very pleased that we delivered so soundly. Almost every aspect of the game has been tweaked to make it a true PC game, from the movement controls to the weapon system to the AI - everything has been adjusted or reworked to make the game feel natural in the PC environment. Traditional PC FPS players will have no problem diving into Men of Valor PC and having an enjoyable experience as navigating and shooting will feel natural and responsive. Also, to account for the greater freedom of movement that a keyboard/mouse offers over the Xbox controller, the AI in the game has been rebalanced to provide a consistent challenge throughtout the game. Enemies are more accurate and more aggressive. The greater system resources available on the PC have also allowed us to throw more enemies on screen at once, so many of the battles on the PC version of the game are even more epic than their Xbox counterparts.
