Sega sent out a press release announcing that Medival II: Total War has gone gold. The sequel to the Middle Ages themed RTS game from developer The Creative Assembly is due for release on Nov. 10 in Europe and on Nov. 14. in the US.
Medieval II: Total War is one of the most complete strategy experiences available and a benchmark title within PC gaming. Turn based management, stunning real time battles, over 200 units, epic religious conflict, the advent of gunpowder and the discovery of South America all combine to make Medieval II: Total War the most eagerly anticipated PC RTS of 2006.

Ya looks ok, just wonder the hardware these shots were taken from.
Guaranteed the latests hardware.

So as usual, torrent first then decision to buy. I already have a lot to play, dont need another RTS right now.

I actually find the demo quite representing of the game experiance... I think - but I haven't tested the full version so it might as well be dooky.

As XXXX, torrent first, cash in later.

Safer have you played the GOLD demo? Or have you still been playing the 1st release?
The GOLD is a HUGE improvement over the first release! (available here)

Remember also you can't reduce the units scale in the demo (Huge,Large,Medium etc) of what is drawn in numbers on screen. So it's a bit of a hit especialy Agincourt and all that reflective armour!
Reduce shadows helps a lot -where i get a hit, but the rest is full on -so the full game -like R:TW -will allow you more optimisation as per usual.
I always reduce the unit numbers simply because it's a bloody pain having to pan out to find them all!

It's only Shader 2 it uses (shader 1 as well if you have an ANCIENT card LOL) so it's not as intensive in that dept.

Will tell you on Thursday, 'cause that's when i get it :)
