It was a fantiastic idea for an RPG. Except that it had cookie-cutter society (I'm sick to death of Thieves Guilds and quests to join Factions and such) Unfortunately after a solid RPG introduction, the last 1/3rd of the game is a Diablo2-esque hack and slash with little role playing. Kudos for making a dialogue option to talk the big bad-guy out of trying to dominate the world - first time I've never had to fight the nemesis!

:One solid game I love it, I mean as far as the story-line goes it flawless. Apart from a wonderous graphics and gameplay this game should get 10/10.:

I have to agree with "Marty" Lionheart: Legacy of the crusader. If you play it,feel it and taste it carefully it might as well turn out to be a game of exellent masterpiece. I'm a huge fan of game such as Icewind Dale 2, Baldur's Gate 2: Shadow of Amn and so forth. But the thing is that Lionheart: LotC is more special then the other because of the traits select option. Its a brillint game I tell you.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA THIS IS PURE PATHETICNESS. WHEN HE WRITES "Try this playable demo" DON'T ITS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME. THIS GAME IS BASICALLY A CRAPPY VERSION OF DIABLO 1. I LIKE RPG GAMES BUT DIABLO LIKE MOST RPG GAMES TODAY SUCK ASS AND SO DOES THIS GAME. SURE DIABLO MIGHT BE THE "BEST" AVAILABLE RPG GAME BUT BEING THE BEST DOES NOT MEAN YOUR ANY GOOD. I CAN TAKE 5 MONKEYS AND DECIDE MONKEY NUMBER 3 IS THE BEST IN MATH BUT HE STILL CAN'T DO A SIMPLE FOURIER TRANSFORM CAUSE MONKEYS ARE STUPID. THATS WHAT RPG GAMES ARE LIKE NOW MOST OF THEM SUCK AND PEOPLE ACCEPT THE SHIT AND PLAY IT. I SAY I WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS BULLSHIT ANYMORE. TRASH BELONGS IN THE GARBAGE BIN NOT IN YOUR MOUTHS.

Ehh.... Diablo isn't the best RPG game. It barely is a role-playing game. We real role-player like to call those games as Diablo for Hack-n-slash, simple entertainment that is fun for a week. Real role-playing games is those such as Fallout. And the one who liked BG and thought traits was a new thing for Lionheart, the charcter system (S.P.E.C.I.A.L. for short) is completely taken from the best RPG ever made: FALLOUT! Don't misunderstand what I just said that Lionheart have completely ripped the character system from Fallout, I think its a good thing and it is what makes me wanna buy this game. See ya!

The game has great roleplaying-part, deep enough story - it should have been really great thing! But it's awfully hard and desperatelly clumsy. If this would be BlackIsle's first product ever - it would be great. But nowadays some mistakes that made are.. I don't know, if ppl from Reflexive saw any BI's RPG ever. Or any isometric RPG. I have completed the game till the end - and i don't know if i'd find any courage to re-play it - despite it's many ways of walk-through it has... Pitty.

I like this game, cause it mix Baldur's Gate, Diablo and Fallout. I like the soul choice too.

I don't know why are you people dislike about this it probably better than you could ever made. Personally I think this is a great game overall combine it mind-dizzilling graphics and gameplay. You see Lionheart: LOTC, is a special breed or one of a kind I mean it share the same fallout engine what a wonderful. On the bottom-line this game is a well rounded finish MASTERPIECE!!

come on ppl.. we are talking about fallout and baldur's gate. they were both great and stayed at the top of the charts for ages. so dont fight over if its good or not just get in the mood and enjoy. thats what matters.

I think Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader is an awsome game. Sure it isn't perfection made real, nothing is. Whens is the last time anyone has picked up anything and found it to be everything they ever dreamed it to be? I know I never have. Invariably in everything I have ever become involved with, there have always been parts I did not like. It goes with the territory of all things real. Ah, now I have done it. I have threatened the very mind set of the RPG world at large. Yes guys and gals, sorry, but the real world does exist. None the less, we who play RPGs are escapests looking for a break from reality, and we find that by emercing ourselves in a fantasy world of some kind, be it si-fi or classical fantasy in its make up. We bask ourselves in the wonderous pleasures of a story that we become the main character in, and in doing so find the worries and woes of our common place existance washed away. So the real question to ask about Lionheart: LOTC is this: Dose it, or does it not posses the ability to emerse me into an engaging story line, and follow it will a character that is totally of my own creation? I believe Lionheart: Legacy of the Crucader does. And that, my friends, is all that anyone can ask of a RPG.

man the game is like crap first the skill points is low and you have to accumulate a heck of an experience just to level-up your character and the npcs are stupid also the enemy are too tough. and also the items they are all crap. i havent seen a rare or a unique items. and the spells! like the healing spell i upgrade everytime i level-up but as far as i get it only heals me for something 6-10 hitpoints........

The game lionheart is a wonderful game. It has lots of fun exciting levels. I love the skill pick and the spells are powerfull. only problem is the higher the spell points get the mor points you have to spend on the spell. i think i have my fire spell up to 178 but it takes 3 points into one.
Wish they could make

Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader is an awesome game when you give it a try. You start in Barcelona, and you are given "quests" to do, depending on who you talk to. As you go through the game, you get more and more challenges, until you get to the end-very far away. In this game, there are many ways to do most of the quests and there are many possibilities to each choice. I recommend this game for everyone, but if you get it, I also highly recommend the version 1.1 patch, which fixes many errors in the original game program. I hope they come out with a sequel to the game, like the game itself hints at.

personally i thinks it good how the make the shop system, it gives you a feel of earning the item. If it was to cheap then you would all complain about how easy it is
