Legacy of Kain: Ascendance, the first new game in the acclaimed vampire action-adventure series in over two decades, officially released on March 31, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Developed by Bit Bot Media and published by Crystal Dynamics, the title is a fast-paced 2D action-platformer featuring retro-style pixel art, environmental puzzles, fluid combat, and playable characters including Kain, a pre-fall Raziel as a Sarafan knight, and the aggressive Vampire Elaleth.
Set in the dark fantasy world of Nosgoth, players engage in vertical movement, vampiric powers, and a new story with returning voice actors like Simon Templeman as Kain and Michael Bell as Raziel, accompanied by an original soundtrack.
The Windows version is available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, with the game priced at $19.99.
