Latest Win10 Update Has Broken Multi-Screen Gaming - tech
(hx) 05:34 AM EST - Jan,12 2017 - Post a comment / read (4)
Microsoft has just released its new Cumulative Update for Windows 10 (KB3213986) which has broken multi-screen gaming, with the company noting that there are "known issues". This means gamers that are running triple-display setups with AMD EyeFinity and NVIDIA Surround Sound will experiencing stuttering or clipped screens when running a game, but it should be fine in 2D applications. There's a workaround for this issue, with Microsoft adding that gamers can run their 3D apps in non-fullscreen mode - either in window-maximized, or just windowed modes. But it gets better. Microsoft suggests that gamers disconnect their other displays, leaving just a single display connected to the PC for the game to work. Because, you know - that's why you spend thousands of dollars for the bleeding edge of high-end gaming, to disconnect those expensive LCDs.

That's Microsoft for you all right!

They have a million testers, so that tells you how many use Multi-monitor to game. But anyway, I'm sure MS will fix it soon enough. Until then you can laugh at the multi-monitor sheeple with more money than brains.

Well it was no fault of the gamers that MS broke their investment. It is a free nation after all to game as you want and Multi Monitors have their uses and gaming with more than a single monitor is a unique experience that will someday be replaced with VR/AR. For now, they need to fix/plug the bug.

I have multi-screen setup 2 x 27" but I don't game with it. I watch fullscreen video on one screen and game on the other. No problems here.
