GamesDomain has written a new preview of Kohan: Ahriman's Gift, the upcoming real-time fantasy strategy prequel to Kohan: Immortal Sovereigns. Here's an excerpt:
Kohan: Ahriman's Gift will keep the core gameplay of Immortal Sovereigns but tell a new, earlier chapter in the Kohan saga. The Kohan are a race of immortals seeking to rebuild their lives and regain lost glory after a series of cataclysms shook their existence. Like its predecessor, Ahriman's Gift plays out in the Persian-influenced fantasy world of Khaldun. This time around, the main campaign will focus on the evil Ceyah, and the struggles of Roxanna Javidan to claim her place as their ruler. All told, there will be five campaigns that expand on the legends of Khaldun. One of the knocks against Immortal Sovereigns was that, however deep and entertaining its gameplay, it lacked a game world as memorable as that found in some of the best RTS games like StarCraft or Homeworld.
