EP: How are the single and multiplayer modes divided up? AG: In single player, as you progress through the game you use a dart rifle to collect genetic samples of the creatures that you're building. In multiplayer, you start off with all the creatures, and you build your army outside of the game and then you take them in. These reason we did this is because we found that people enjoy the process of building their animals so much that they didn't want to have time pressure associated with it. You can't pause the game every time someone wants to go into the Army Builder. For people who didn't want to get into building their own armies, we've created a bunch of armies based around the characters in the single player game. It makes it easy to jump into the game right away. We've got support for up to six players online. There's no technical limitation in the engine to how many people we can have, but we found games with more than six players become unmanageably large pretty quick, so the limit's six. We also have a built-in tournament and ladder system over the Zone, so every game that gets played online you'll know your position worldwide. What rank you are in the world.
