IntelGamer has written a new preview of flight/combat-sim IL-2 Sturmovik. "The game still hasn't hit the beta stage yet and there are some aspects that are not working, such as the multiplayer, campaign and quick mission builder. I had the choice of flying two missions on either the German or Russian side and tried a taste of both. I also had the pleasure of flying the Mig-3, the HE-111 and of course the IL-2. The flight models are excellent in this pre-beta build, but they are still being fine-tuned, as are many aspects. Redouts/blackouts seem well done, as are spins and stalls. Dive too fast and you can do damage to your craft as the g-forces grab hold and violently shake you about." [preview]
