LOL!!! 'outdated graphics'??? Wow, don't know where that came from Hx, this game has better graphics than some mainstream FPS! So far this looks like one of the best ever hunting games I ever seen and I don't even play hunting games..

Though I have never tried to first version of this hunting sim, I thought that I would give it a try. Man, was I surprised at how good this one is. For one, the list or firearms is very long. 25 different rifles, shotguns and bows; 21 unique accessories and items available. Here is the list of firearms. 12-gauge Semi-Automatic Shotgun 12-gauge Pump Shotgun 10-gauge Over-and-Under Shotgun 8-gauge Double Barrel Shotgun Long Bow Recurve Bow Compound Bow 9mm Pistol .357 Magnum revolver .44 caliber 6 shot revolver .54 Cal Muzzleloader .303 British Bolt .270 Win .280 Rem .30-06 Bolt Action .375 Mag Bolt .338 Ultra Mag Bolt .308 Bolt 6mm Bolt 7mm Mag Semi-auto .300 Win Mag Semi-auto .243 Lever action .30-30 Lever Action Crossbow Air gun Second, 8 big game animals that behave and react realistically: Hunt Bison (Buffalo), Pronghorn, Mountain Goat, Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer, Grizzly (Brown) Bear, Moose and Elk, plus many other ambient animals. Here is a list of the ambient animals. Lets you hunt from any map, in any type of weather, and lets you chose where you want the hunt to start from. This is not a feature that Deer Hunter 2003 has, and I think a big mistake on their part. I really like the way I can chose what animals, how populated they are, and the different equipment you can take with you on the hunts. The graphics in this game are very nicely done, and look very good. The trees look like trees, and not two tree pics from into a X configuration type of deal. The animals look great and life like, and that was a big surprise to me. Did not think everyone could touch the latest Deer Hunter Series, Wrong, this game is better. The sounds are just as great too. Each firearm has it's own sound FX to it, and are nicely done too. The first time I fired the 375 Magnum rifle, I jumped, it was that good coming from my 5.1 system. I also had it turned up a little too much to. There are also the usual extra sound FX, such as bugs, airplanes, birds and gunfire from other hunters. The Game Play is going to keep you coming back for more, as the scenery is great to walk in while on a hunt. I have spent most of my hunts stalking the animals, then just sitting and calling. But that is just me, you can use the tree stand, or tripod stand to hunt if you want too. Oh, and did I mention the dangerous animals option? Well there is one in this game. This game is of low quality and is not enjoyable at all. This game is an obvious bag of shit. Lets look at the graphics they not even good. The binoculars have that stupid blue color where the eyes go WTF is up with that?. Ok the terrain graphics, obivously whoever programed the winter/arctic environment totally fucked up.The ground in this winter environment does not look like snow it looks like a white grass and white weeds. Umm there is more to making an arctic environment then just changing the grounds color. I don't see any mud along the rivers?. I did not see any animal poo on the terrain why NOT?. Where is the realism? What kind of hunting game does not have animal poo? maybe i missed it?. Lets move onto the animals themselves. ITS SO BLOODY EASY TO KILL THESE ANIMALS IN THE GAME. The difficult is so easy. The animals behave more like a bunch of target drones then actual animals. When you actually do all the work and kill the animal in the game you end up with some cheesy death effects. BORING! THERE IS NO ACTION IN THIS GAME! IT IS SO BLOODY BORING!. IF YOU ENJOY SHOOTING TIN CANS THEN THIS GAME IS NOT FOR YOU CAUSE ITS EVEN MORE BORING THEN THAT. What about nighttime hunting? lots of hunters hunt at night using nightvision goggles in today's world so its harder for the animals to see the hunters. THERE IS NO NIGHT TIME HUNTING HERE? why the hell did they leave that out. Is this game just for yanks that hunt during the day?. Alot of the levels are so "PRAIRIE LIKE" i find this repetitive and boring. What about the hunters clothing. When you go hunting you have to wear the correct hunting clothes. But i guess in this game your just a dumbass hunter who wears a green clothes in an arctic/winter environment. Why don't you just wear a fucking flashly pink and yellow suit then with a big sticker thats says "IM A RETARDED HUNTER". How could they miss such an obvious and important thing such as clothing selection in a hunting game. Why don't you just forget to include weapons in the hunting game too then. The hunter can uses his hands to beat up the animals. These are just some of the pathetic qualities of this game. Since i don't want to write another 2 PAGES thats right 2 PAGES of the crappyness displayed here i will end it with the following comment. --------------------------------------- I would also like to point out that i find it strange that a game can be rated 70% in total when each catagory only got a total of 60% in HX's review. --------------------------------------- Basically this game has no reply value and IS TOTALLY DEVOID OF ACTION.The game is too easy and numerous features related to hunting are excluded in this game. The game fails at what it wants to be which is a HUNTING GAME. instead it is for like a "shooting range game". The intended atmosphere for this game does not exist in the actual game. Thus this game deserves the rating of 50%.

Woah! The last commentator seems confused - maybe he's talking about some other game. Ground does not look like snow? Sure looks like snow to me! No night hunting? The game has night hunting. No clothes selection? The game has clothes selection (including a snow camo outfit!). Binoculars have blue colour? They work just fine for me! I can only conclude that this guy hasn't actually played the game, only looked at some dodgy screenshots...

TO anon-anon. Well your conclusion is wrong. There is no night hunting. Don't confuse night with evening. Im talking pitch black. Like so dark you need night vision googles. Secondly binoculars in real life don't have a blue glow emanating from the eye holes this is whats retarded about the binoculars. Next about Clothing i never say any hunting clothing all i say was a pathetic white night gown. Now if you think that is a "winter and gray camo" then you are being swindled man. Its looks like something you get from a walmart or a JC PENNY. Its totally non-believable that those are actual hunting clothes. If you doubt me go to a hunting store and see for yourself. As for the snow you may be happy with having the color changed to indicate the terrain is "SNOW" but im not. The snow terrain looks like white grass. Have you ever seen real SNOW?. Ive seen snow look much better in lots of others games. Here all they did is alter the background pixel color. Thats totally ridicilous. Its like a saying this guy is from asia so ill paint his entire body with the same color all over. no shades on the face or variance within the skin tone. I don't see any snow banks,I don't see any ice, I don't see snow tracks dam it I don't even see any "SNOW". ALL I see when i play is a bloody white grass. Its pathetic. Im not even a good coder and i could produce that level of detail. I would also like to point out that HX gave the game 3/5 or 60% in every catagory yet the game gets a total of 70%? Unless he forgot to include some other categories i don't see how a game can be more than 60%. His own review contradicts itself. Everyone knows this game is crap. I don't people buying this crap and wasting there money. Please don't continue with your delusional marketing lingo.

Conclusion: A crappy game. If you like a non-action, boring, awful graphics, awful ambient, non-realistic pseudo-hunting game...then this is the game for you. I mean...look at a screenshot...could it be any uglier?...

Graphics in this game look pretty good for a hunting game and impressive as someone said with 25+ weapons. Also, this game is $19. So who would be an ass to say the game sucks. They are many reason's why people don't post there email address TOM. I have stated that i don't want spam so thats why i don't post it. Whether or not i post my email address does not effect the validity of my comments on the game. It is not possible to determine how valid my comments on the game are buy reading the email address field. WHY? cause the email address field does not contain any comments about the game.

As for the game well its not too bad Probably the best hunting game I've played, now that I think about it Which doesn't say a hell of a lot.. the sound absolutely sucks (which is pathetic, really... a hunting game NEEDS good sound) also the pace is still far too bloody slow.. why bother trying to be THAT realistic? it doesn't achieve anything other than boredom.. when will those developers get that through their heads? simulation or not there's nothing fun about walking (relatively) aimlessly around a fairly inactive pile of green shit for I don't know how long stealth STILL consists of crouching and walking into the wind... (its been like that since deer hunter two? hell..) Use of cover would be nice (a thief style concealment-meter, perhaps?) Overall I feel seventy percent is a fairly decent score but considering the only changes over the last eight or so consists of nothing other than graphical improvements I probably would have given it a bit less

This game is better than all the dear hunter games but the graphic on the guns is realy bad.. but it had some new fun stuff like shoting scrools with an air gun rifle. that was something new. but if you looking for a good hunting game. buy Trophy Hunter 2003 because that is the best hunting game ever. and it has mp and lots of new maps avalible all the time to.
