How to use the pistol in Doom Eternal - briefly

In order to unlock the pistol in Doom Eternal, you’ll need to download first the CheatEngine for Doom Eternal from here. Then, you’ll have to run it and enable “Unrestrict Console Commands/Cvars & Bind”. Once you’ve done that, start the game, open the console via “~” and type “g_enablePistol 1”. And that’s it. From what we can see, id Software has already added custom animations and sounds to the pistol. According to reports, the team decided to remove it because it didn’t fit the game’s new combat style. Still, it’s really cool that there is a way to enable/unlock it.
