HomeLAN - How do you control your teammates in the sequel? Graeme Struthers - In two ways - either with Quick Commands via the numpad keys, (a very simple branching menu system) or via the Tactical Map. When using the Tactical Map you can issue a chain of commands to your soldiers, seeing them move in a style and at a pace of your choosing. You can also determine the soldiers' "state of mind", establishing whether they are going to be actively aggressive, reactively defensive or completely passive on their route from A to B. You can choose to give all of your guy's individual commands (right down to using Signals to synchronize movements and attacks) or you can give one of your guys all the commands and then simply order the other chaps to follow the lead guy. The Quick Commands are intuitive and yet detailed enough at times to really create a sense of immersion when playing the game as a FPS whilst the Tactical Map (which can be played Paused OR in Real-time) really allows the player a completely different approach to the game. Personally I play the game with the quick commands but I do like to revisit the levels I know with the Tactical Map and still see if I can beat it.
