The game was announced and briefly demoed at E3 2006 last May but since then the game has gone into stealth mode until now. Part of the reason is that Free Radical made some changes in Haze's game design. For one your character doesn't command a squad anymore; the game's AI now controls your squademates. Haze also has no load times and no cut-scenes (a la Half-Life 2). The game itself has your player character going into South America in the service of the Mantel corporation and he uses a substance called Nectar to augment his abilities. However, there are hints of a major plot twist in the middle of the game that pretty much throws out the initial set-up of the game's storyline. Haze will also have multiplayer features including four player co-op mode.
