- Post a comment 343 Industries say they have identified the primary matchmaking issue in Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and are working on a fix for the problem.
Following yesterday's server-side update, developer 343 Industries has temporarily removed several playlists from Halo: The Master Chief Collection in hopes of improving matchmaking speeds.
According to the official Halo blog, those playlists are Team Hardcore, Rumble Pit, Halo 4, and SWAT (rotational). 343 expects that this will allow players to get into matches faster, as well as speed up overall match times. However, the company acknowledges that this won't solve all matchmaking problems. The post goes on to assure players that content updates and server-side tweaks will continue to be investigated over the next week.
In a separate post, 343 Executive Producer Dan Ayoub addressed the current issues facing the Master Chief Collection. "Players have expressed frustration at poor matchmaking times, or bad experiences in general," Ayoub wrote. "This is something we are working 24/7 to isolate and fix. Since launch, we have done a number of daily server-side tweaks to improve this experience and our data indicates these adjustments have helped considerably, but the state is still far from where it needs to be."
