10Tacle Studios sent out a press release announcing that GTR 2 (demo), a SimBin's motorsports sequel is now shipping to stores in North America:

Extending the ground-breaking physics engine found in GTR, GTR 2 takes the thrill of driving to new heights. GTR 2, the official simulation of the FIA GT championship, features more than 140 high detailed cars and 34 different track-layouts in a hyper realistic racing world with breathtaking real-world-like effects. CEO Carlo Voelker commented, "The original GTR forever changed the expectations of a racing simulation. Building on the greatness of its predecessor, GTR 2 has established itself as the world's most realistic racing simulation."

- Realism Redefined: Absolutely authentic physics from dynamic lighting and environment changes to ultra-realistic damage modeling.
- Great Variety: 144 grand touring cars reproduced down to the finest detail; including all vehicles of the GT and NGT classes and the 24H races from two FIA GT seasons.
- Original Circuits: 34 different track variations.
- Tough Competition: Human-like AI opponents add a new dimension to every race.
- Scalable Levels: 3 different game modes (Novice, Semi-Pro and Simulation).

I loved Grand prix on the Amiga which was later F1 on the Pc. This is the first drivining game that if played in a long while thats a true sim. Going to pick this one up.

If you like GTR1/2 then you would like GTL (same company) it's older historic GT cars with vehicles like Ford Mustang, Shelby Cobra, Corvette, Jaguar, Lotus, TVR and other goodies from the 60’s and 70’s.

I prefer it over GTR (i have 1 and didn't like 2)

I played GTL ? GPL i played that when it came out .... One of the first sims to use real Physics Later got it on buget and it didnt run XP i think. Cheers Stumpus wil check them out again ..... :lol:

I'll give you this link, http://www.simhq.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=17;t=001374 if you still have GPL it works no problem with XP and it's pretty unrecognisable and way,way better than box standard with the support out there for it. Enjoy!
