some
impressions of Men Of Valor from the GDC:
The demo showed US soldiers dealing with the Vietcong in a number of situations, from an ambush on US troops caused by a goat in front of an armored convor, to a battle of US and Vietcong patrols that finallt results in a napalm drop and finally a fight in some Vietnemese rice paddies. The game will have a total of 65 level and about 20 to 25 hours of gameplay in the single player mode.
The game's graphic, which use the Unreal engine as its base, uses the Vietnam setting to full effect with lots of foliage for both US and Vietcong troops to hide in. The AI of the Vietcong soldiers is pretty slick too with troops sometimes coming around on all sides under the cover of the jungle. It can be a rather harrowing experience to see these solider suddenly appearing right in front of you.
While both PC and Xbox versions will share a number of multiplayer modes, both online and offline, only the Xbox version will get a two player cooperative mode as well. Our demo person at VUGames told us it was unlikely such a mode will be available for the PC by the time the game ships.
