The GeForce FX 5600 will be priced between $150 and $250 and to demo the capabiities of the chip they showed the demo of the upcoming GSC GameWorld first person shooter Stalker: Oblivion Lost, and indeed the game looked very impressive with solid lighting and shading as well as some detailed texture maps. Products up to 256 megs will be offered for the 5600. Finally, Huang showed off a demo of not one but four detailed "Dawn" characters on the same screen running at a fast frame rate. Huang said this demo was from a early silicon of their next generation product but declined to elaorate further. The impressive demo, however, certainly peaked the interest of all who saw it. And the announcements from NVIDIA may not be over year as during the Q&A session NVIDIA exec hinted that their next-generation laptop graphics chip may be officially introduced next week.
