Gamitopia has posted an interview with a couple of the guys out at Monte Cristo Multimedia about their upcoming corporate-strategy game - Gadget Tycoon.
Gamitopia: When did Monte Cristo start development of Gadget Tycoon, and how far along are you with the production of the game? We know that the release was planned for this Summer in North America, but do you anticipate that the game will be ready as scheduled?
Monte Cristo: The project started full development in March 2000. The game was finished the end of June and will be launched October/November 2001 and will have an s.r.p. $19.99 US.
Gamitopia: We've seen games like this before, but what is the idea behind Gadget Tycoon?
Monte Cristo: The basic concept was to eliminate the serious side of running your own company and put it into a humourous environment, whilst still keeping the core elements of a business/strategy sim. This allows easier entry into the gameplay. [more]
