Laralyn McWilliams - A greal deal of the development time for both the Army and the commercial versions of FSW was spent on AI. The enemies run modified versions of the soldier AI, which gives them the same intelligence about the world, their opponents, and cover objects. The main difference between our enemy and soldier AI is that the soldiers think both individually ("I need to go prone!") and as a group ("I should be scanning this sector because I am the Automatic Rifleman.") while the enemies tend to only think individually.
