- SCS Dangerous Waters Patches - Sonalysts Combat Simulations has
released
new patches for Dangerous Waters to update the English, German and
French editions of their naval combat simulation to version 1.04. This
release adds model updates, gameplay tweaks, bug fixes and other changes.
- Black Mirror 2 Announced - German publisher dtp announces that
Future Games is at work on
Black Mirror 2,
though they are not currently projecting a release date for the adventure
game sequel.
- The Ro(c)k Con Artists Announced - Centauri Production announced
The Ro(c)k Con Artists, an upcoming vehicular combat game. Based on a Czech
feature film, the game will be released in English as well as Czech, with a
European release projected for sometime this year.
- Age of Conan Delayed Again -
This post on the Age of Conan Forums reveals that Age of Conan: Hyborian
Adventures has suffered another delay, and Funcom's barbaric MMORPG is now
expected on October 30, 2007.

release date for
Myst Online: Uru Live.
- 2006 Mod of the Year Announced - After so many votes, so much
effort and a whole lot of fun,
Point of Existence 2, for Battlefield 2, has won
Mod of the Year for 2006. Point of Existence 2 manages to extend the
gameplay of the original game into a new setting with a complex and
believable storyline. It manages to have stylish art assets while remaining
within the bounds of realism and enforces teamwork without feeling like a
chore. It takes a popular formula to the next level of balance, flow and
fun.
- America's Army Surpasses the 8 Million Mark -

- Square Enix Licenses Unreal Engine 3.0 -
This press release announces that
Square
Enix has licensed the Unreal Engine 3. However, they haven't announced
what game will utilize the engine. Square Enix is well known for their Final
Fantasy series and, until now, have always used their own in-house engines.
- Halo 3 Bungie Update, Team Skirmishes -
Bungie has posted another Halo 3 update over at their official website.
This time, the Bungie boys tackled the multiplayer Team Skimrish mode, and
they share with us some of their insights.
- Monster Madness Xbox 360 Impressions -
Kotaku has taken a look at the upcoming Xbox 360 shooter
Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia and written up their first
impressions of the game. This title, expected to be released by SouthPeak
Interactive in April 2007, uses both Epic's Unreal Engine 3 as well as AGEIA
physics technology to bring the game to life.

- Microsoft Xbox Division Continues To Lose Money -
Microsoft has released its latest financial numbers for the quarter that
ended December 31, 2006 and as expected the company's Entertainment and
Devices Division (which contains both their Xbox console and Games for
Windows divisions) recorded losses, this time to the tune of $289 million.
- Nintendo Sells 10 Million DS Consoles In Americas - Nintendo has
sent out a press release announcing that it has now sold 10 million units of
its DS portable console in both North and South America since its launch in
November 2004. The company sold a whopping 1.6 million DS units in December
2006 alone.
- Sony Raises PS3 Price In Canada - It seems that Sony has made a
minor price correction for the PS3 in Canada.
Now the unit costs $50 dollars more, for a total of $699.99.
