- Call for Heroes: Pompolic Wars Demo - Publisher Strategy First
has released
a
playable demo for
Call for Heroes: Pompolic Wars, allowing you to try out Quotix
Software's upcoming RPGish third-person action game. Word is: "The Warrior"
is the first of two demos being released for Call For Heroes: Pompolic Wars.
The second demo, titled "The Amazon Girl," is set to be releasing May, 25th,
2007. The Warrior demo can also be found on
CGO.ro,
FileFront,
GH,
and
SI.
- Defcon patch v1.42 - Introversion Software has released
a new patch for Defcon, bringing their thermonuclear war strategy game
to version 1.42. The patch, which can be
downloaded at the game's official web site fixes a few bugs in the game.
- Devil May Cry 3 Patch v1.30 - The North American and European
editions of the
Devil May Cry 3 version 1.30 patch are now available. The patch adds
Vista support and fixes some bugs.
- Medieval 2: Total War Patch -
A new 513MB patch for Medieval 2: Total War brings Creative Assembly's
large-scale RTS sequel to version 1.2. No details are provided about what's
new and different.
- BF1942 Eve of Destruction v0.61 -
The
Eve of Destruction team released v0.61 today for BF1942 which addresses
some map issues
- Spider-Man 3 Ships -
Activision announces that the
Spider-Man 3 game
(PC, PS3, Xbox 360) started shipping to retail stores, coinciding with the
launch of the movie.
- UFO: Extraterrestrials - Matrix Games today
announced that
UFO:
Extraterrestrials is now available for digital distribution in North
America and that the UFO strategy game will be landing in stores the week of
May 21
- Runescape Reaches 1 Million Paid Subscribers -
The game's monthly fee is just $5 a month and the press release states
that it's core audience is between 14-24 years old.
- The Kameleon Project - Slitherine announces the
Kameleon Project,
with the goal of assisting other independent developers in bringing their
games to market:

a rate of 1%
- Cenega Publishing Renamed 1C Publishing EU - Company has
announced that it has renamed its
Cenega Publishing division
(which it bought in 2005) to 1C Publishing EU which will continue to be
located in Prague, Czech Republic.

Microsoft has announced that it will launch a European division of its
Microsoft Games Studios publishing company

no difference. However, if you have set up an account that does not match
the country where you are located, you will find that these new security
measures will only allow you to purchase and download content that is
licensed in the country where you are located. For example, if you are not
located in the US, but have created a US Xbox LIVE account, you will not be
able to download TV shows and movies that are currently available for use
only in the US.
