In what may be the biggest console bundle deal ever in terms of price,
GameStop is now selling a new version of their already $1999.69 priced Omega
Bundle for Microsoft's Xbox 360 console.
The new
deal costs a whopping $4,499. So what does the extra $2,499 get gamers?
After working with Dell, GameStop has added a 42-inch plasma monitor to the
bundle, making it almost everything a hardcore gamer will need with just one
click. Anyone want to be my pal and buy it for me for Christmas? ;-P
Here's some stuff:
- Revolution Less Powerful - In a recent interview with television
network G4, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata reiterated
the
company's plans to go after non-gamers and simultaneously conceded that
its next-generation console would lack the horsepower of competitors.
- Is the PlayStation 3 losing development support? -
Rumors are flying high, spreading across a network of Japanese, Dutch, and
German websites, that developers are wary of creating content for the
PlayStation 3. Several developers, like John Carmack, have publicly
announced a preference for the Xbox 360. But could that number be growing? The
recent cancellation of Condemned for the PS3 seems to suggest as much…
- True next-gen gaming carries $45,000 price tag -
Have
you seen the Oculas? It's a sweet-looking high-tech womb designed to house
you, your PC or Mac, and all of the games you want to get really intimate
with. For $45,000, though, we reckon you might be able to order it with an
Xbox 360 or PS3 enclosed as well. Features include: adjustable lighting,
sound-proof, door that closes silently, leather seating, climate control
built-in massage chair, integrated surround-sound, flat-panel video screen.
- PSP 2.01 firmware on the way - Wohoo, we're sure that firmware
2.01 will add loads of compelling new features and, uh, added stability… or
something. Nahhhh, Sony just wants
you
to update so that you can't downgrade anymore...
- Mod To Play Sony PSP Games On Your TV - PSP TV Adapter Kit (PSP2TV) -
The TV Adapter for PSP (PSP2TV) lets you hook up your PSP to your home
television (NTSC and PAL) via Composite or S-Video and Stereo connectors. It
also lets you connect and use a PS2 controller on your PSP. The installation
requires you to open and modify your PSP console, you need to replace the
front face plate with the one included. This device is recommended anyone who
wants to play their favorite PSP title on the big screen.

windows, making the system very easy to install. The data transfer is supposed
to be secure and reliable. The Laser Bridge range is 20-120m.
- Tony Hawk HelmetCam -
The Tony Hawk HelmetCam features 32MB Flash memory, which lets you store
40 min. of action packed video. A laser beam on the $100 HelmetCam helps to
point the lens to where the action is. There is no word on the frame rate and
