- F.E.A.R. 3 First Look Preview - Watching F.E.A.R. 3 demoed for the first time
the potential for dynamic play between the two came across well. Fettel
adds an interesting twist whether stunning enemies to make them easier
targets or possessing a well-armed soldier in the midst of a firefight
and causing complete chaos by turning on his comrades. At the same
time, though the firefights were as frenetic as ever, having a partner
to work with gave the impression that there was always someone there to
bail the other out, and that's just in combat.
- Avadon: The Black Fortress Announced - Spiderweb
Software announces Avadon: The Black Fortress an
all-new role-playing game unrelated to either the Geneforge or the
Avernum series due for release on early 2011 for Windows PC and
Macintosh.
- Defense Grid: Awakening Expansion 'Resurgence'
Announced - Hidden Path Entertainment has announced their
first add-on for the insanely awesome Defense
Grid: Awakening. Titled Resurgence, there will be eight new
maps released in total, coming in packs of two per week in June. Each
pack of two will cost a buck ($.99 on PC, 80 MSP on Xbox Live) so in
total, you're out about $4 for all of them, and you'll need to have
Defense Grid: Awakening to play them.

- Tactical Intervention Closed Beta Begins Today - If

Closed beta has yet to be finalized. European fans can check the

version of TI.
- Alien Breed: Impact Demo Slams Into Steam - A
demo of Team 17's top-down shooter revamp Alien Breed: Impact is now
available on Steam, along with a 10% pre-order discount that
brings it from $14.99 to $13.49. The demo contains a singleplayer
"Prequel" mission from Impact, which is a tarted-up PC and PlayStation
3 version.
- Blur in-store demo program launched at Best Buy - To
get the word out about Blur, Activision and Best Buy have teamed up
in the US to launch an exclusive in-store demo program.
- Namco Bandai Likes Ubi's DRM - Ubisoft's
controversial DRM system is 'a good strategy' -
but only because there is not better alternative, says Namco Bandai
Partners VP, Olivier Comte. Speaking to CVG in Barcelona this month,
the Namco man argued that until something better is invented, the
Ubisoft system - which requires a constant internet connection - is
what the industry has to run with.
- Beyond Good and Evil 2 Cancelled - WootGaming.fr reports
that Rayman and Beyond Good and Evil creator Michel Ancel has
left
Ubisoft and that Beyond Good and Evil 2, a game we haven't seen
anything out of for a couple years, has been cancelled outright.
- Monte Cristo Closes - Simtropolis reports
the closure of Cities XL developer Monte Cristo. However the
message
stated that Cities XL will continue to be sold by another unnamed
publisher and that the online login required to play the game will
still be in place.
- Browser-Based Motion Control Inferface -
OmniMotion Technology Ltd., an independent Irish Casual and Social
Games company, have unveiled a new Motion Control interface that
supposedly allows for accurate, 3D, browser-based gaming on almost any
PC or MAC - and all you need to play is a standard Webcam. For quick
