- Loco Mania trailer -
Lighthouse-Interactive has released
a new movie
trailer for Loco Mania, their fast paced, quick thinking, strategy game
that puts you in charge of an entire railway network. The new trailer displays
a virtual world, challenging gameplay and many other aspects of this soon to
be released logic/strategy game. They also revealed the
boxshot for the game.
- Supreme Ruler 2010 Patch -
This is the 4th free update (15MB) since Supreme Ruler 2010 was released
earlier this year, and further updates are planned to incorporate even more
feedback from SR2010 fans and forum discussions.
- Day of Defeat: Source Update - The Steam Powered website notes that
a new update is now available for Day of Defeat: Source. The update fixes
a number of bugs in the game.
- Santa's Going "Down in Flames" - Battlefront.com and Dan Verssen
Games have announced
a
large free x-mas update for their air combat strategy game - Down in Flames.
The x-mas bundle includes: 4 new campaigns, one set of updated animations for
the F4F Wildcat, a WHOLE NEW PLANE: the Brewster Buffalo, and new fatigue
rules for pilots as well as a few small bug fixes, too. This bundle is
completely free and immediately available via the auto-update feature of the
game. (requires the full version).
- UT2004 UETF Chronicles (UT2k4) - After more than 12 months in
development, Iterative Games (formerly Trigger Stupid Studios) have released
UETF Chronicles v1.0. This mod is a co-operative first person shooter set
in a future sci-fi universe. Squads of human players will use skill and
teamwork to defeat vast armies of robotic computer enemies. Players can select
from a wide array of unique weapons and roles, and build their character by
earning experience and unlocking weapon upgrades. UETF Chronicles 1.0
introduces a host of new features, including new multi-mission campaigns, new
re-designed classes, new weapons and enemies.
- Unreal Fortress Evolution 1.1 Patch -
A patch is
available for beta 1 of Unreal fortress Evolution, bringing the version to
beta 1.1.0
- Ballistic Weapons GOLD Edition (UT2k4) -
This mod
is far more than a weapons mutator. It is a very versitile mod which plugs
straight into the game through mutators to make it possible to use with a very

Playne have
announced that
Battleground
Europe is now available to North America for the first time via the Matrix

- RF Online Preorders - Codemasters Online Gaming announced today
that its first MMORPG,
RF Online, is available for consumers to pre-order from www.gamestop.com
and www.ebgames.com. Online Pre-Order customers will receive a code that gives
them guaranteed access to the RF Online closed BETA test. The promotion also
will be supported in store throughout January with a retail Pre-Order pack
containing closed BETA access, an exclusive RF Online soundtrack CD along with
faction specific postcards and a sticker sheet.

- Heroes of Annihilated Empires Gets Release Date - GSC GameWorld has
announced that their long-in-development RTS game
Heroes of Annihilated
Empires now has a firm release date of September 2006.
- Alawar releases Feelers -
In Feelers
(demo ~ 15MB), a new
arcade shooter from Alawar Entertainment, evil insect forces have kidnapped
your colony's queens, spelling doom for your collective unless you can protect
its few remaining eggs. The embryos will eventually hatch into new queens if
you can mow down the hordes of creepy-crawlies and winged menaces out to break
or steal them.
- Far Cry Instincts for Xbox360? -
A new GS Xbox
360 list shows Far Cry Instincts as an upcoming game for the newest
next-gen console. It could be a listing error, but a new Far Cry or Instincts
remix could be in the works.
- XBox Live Diamond Card Unveiled - Microsoft has announced

- Judge blocks California game law -
A
California judge issued a ruling that prevented that state's own
game-restriction law from going into effect. In the United States District
Court for the Northern District of California, Judge Ronald Whyte slapped a
preliminary injunction on a law signed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger,
himself the star of several games, last month.
- Uwe Boll creates the worst movie of 2005 -
Cinematical compiled a list of the ten worst movies of 2005, and have
placed Alone in the Dark directed by Uwe Boll at the bottom of the list.
