Flagship Studios Announced - briefly

The creators of the massively popular computer game franchise "Diablo" announced today the formation of their new entertainment software development company, Flagship Studios. Flagship Studios has been founded by David Brevik, Max Schaefer, Erich Schaefer, Bill Roper and Kenneth Williams, all former executives at Blizzard North. David Brevik served as President while Max Schaefer, Erich Schaefer and Bill Roper held Vice President positions within the company. Ken Williams was Blizzard North's Director of Business and Operations. Together, the management and executive team for Flagship Studios represents over 45 years of game development experience. Their newly launched website says they are already working on their first game:

Flagship Studios is currently working on our first game, and it has the few insiders who have seen the initial design and implementation excited and intrigued. We are following a specific design philosophy of focusing on the fun and having the game up and running not only as early as possible, but all of the time. We feel that time spent on prototyping design concepts and iterating on play balance is invaluable, so the more time we dedicate to these crucial elements, the better our products will be.

Cross Fire - Cross Fire is an online military first-person shooter for the PC, developed by SmileGate and Neowiz, and co-published by G4BOX and Wicked Interactive. Players assume the role of either a Black List or Global Risk mercenary, and then join an online team that must work together to complete objective-based scenarios. Cross Fire's flagship feature is its "Ghost Mode", which puts one team in possession of top-secret cloaking technology, rendering them invisible to the opposing team. This team of "ghosts" is armed only with knives, and must stealthily track and hunt the enemy team. This mode is exclusive to Cross Fire and no other mode exists quite like it in any other first-person shooter. (540 hits)
