Firefox 52 Brings Modern PC Games to Your Browser - tech
(hx) 02:42 PM EST - Mar,09 2017 - Post a comment / read (3)
Those of you who have already updated should know that the latest version of Firefox has dropped all NPAPI plug-ins (Java, Silverlight, etc.), although support for Flash continues. Aside from security patches, the update also introduces WebAssembly, which is supposed to bring the performance of native applications to the web.

They'd lose too many users if they dropped Flash...

Have you guys compared Unity3D vs. these new webworks (or whatever it's called) games?
Unity3D was powerful and looked great; real 3D.
The new webworks rubbish is slow and ugly - meaning that these so-called modern games are a huge step back. Say, 10 years ago we had better.

Without Unity3D, I'd expect game devs go back to flash as their users are unhappy about this new shit.

I hear he talks about running 64bit applications, I check (yes I have firefox 52) info in about and the browser is still 32bit. I guess in their world this would work on magic.
