UbiSoft
has announced that it will publish Faces of War (previously known as
Outfront II), an
upcoming squad based WWII themed real-time strategy game. The title, developed
by Best Way (Soldiers: Heroes of WWII makers is due out in March 2006. Here is
some info:
Faces of War thrusts gamers into the decisive battles of World War II in Europe. Players command American, English, Soviet and German troops while fighting famous conflicts such as the Normandy Invasion, the Battle of the Bulge or the Battle of Berlin in shocking detail. Thanks to complex artificial intelligence, soldiers don't simply execute any order given by a player, they think about how to do it in the most efficient and safe way. Faces of War takes combat gaming to a new level by integrating a psychological element.
