Facebook has never had a particularly great relationship with its users. In fact, I know many people who are seemingly only one minor aggravating point away from quitting from it entirely. Following a report via via ITWire,, however, it seems that the social media platform may be considering taking that decision for them as an official legal filing by Facebook (well, technically Meta, but I’m never going to call them that!) has cited that the tech giant is considering a complete withdrawal of its platform in Europe. The reasons behind is that a recent ruling by European courts effectively blocked US authorities from having the right to collect personal data from EU citizens without their expressed consent. Why is this a problem? Well, not only does Facebook hold a lot of information about its users, but it also actively looks to collect more of it for the purpose of targeted advertising. You know, that whole business of you casually searching for a new pair of shoes then finding practically every website you visit crammed full of adverts for Ugs, Nike, Adidas, etc. (other shoe brands are available). Put simply, if the EU court doesn’t consider rescinding this action, Facebook is legitimately threatening to terminate its services within the region entirely!

If you want to hear my opinion, it is without any doubt a 100% empty threat. Facebook is already trying to reassure investors by effectively lying about the growth the platform has (not) achieved in recent years. The latest results with the stock down 25% will only confirm that I am telling the truth. I don't think Mr. Zuckerberg is exactly in a position to jump out of the box. Just effectively wiping out hundreds of millions of people over a dispute over targeted advertising makes literally no sense :-) It's similar to Biden's threats of sanctions on Russia. Biden just got Russia to start trading more with China instead of Europe now. I've never really commented much on any news here. However, the world is getting so crazy that I feel the need to write something about it from time to time. Because freedom, which is really very important to me in life, is disappearing. It has disappeared completely for Americans and unfortunately it is starting to spread to Europe where I live. Do you still feel that you can say whatever you want in this country without any sanctions? A lot of people here in the Czech Republic are now in trouble on Facebook, Instagram, they are being banned just for writing 5 years ago that someone is an asshole. Often it's not just a ban, but a complete deletion of the account without the person being able to do anything. And this brings me to what I started to write, maybe it wouldn't be better news if Facebook and Instagram and META's other networks disappeared from the world, I'm convinced we'd all be better off. That's it Mr. Zuckerberg, shut down Facebook in Europe! We don't need or want it then :-)

Facebook will end up like MySpace, The Digg and others. It's just that it's probably past its peak and there will be other new services to replace it. When I ask young people (16-20 years old) they will confirm that Facebook is absolutely dead, that only old people are left.

FAKEbook banned me 14 times last year for 30 days at a time.
Yea, they ban me twice for the same post a few times.

Twotter just deleted my account which I had for over 15 years coz I said that canadian asshole will be the first hung for treason.
They say I told people to kill him. WTF? Just stating a fact isn't a good reason to close someones account which is 15 years old and this is the first ever banning. How about a warning? Even a 30 day ban would be fine but complete deletion? ALl my posts are gone, my followers and following are both 0'ed so I dont have a clue who I was following anymore as they are all gone.

Currently I'm banned for 30 days again for posting a pic about Ivermectin and how good it is. They said its covid misinformation. All it said about covid is it can stop it in 48 hours. the rest was about how its been on the market for 50 years, its as safe as asprin, it costs 0.12c for the 2 day dose.

That's exactly it, if you remember what life was like in the 90's (discussion forums on the BBS - I ran my own BBS myself from 1992-1997). Then came the internet, you could find everything on it, and there was total freedom in what one wrote or put up on their site. At least here in the Czech Republic. But gradually the situation started to deteriorate, courts, copyright, censorship. Now the situation is such that Google definitely can't find things you really need, but harmful content (viruses, scams...) prevails. I can't understand why Google bans game trainers while other really malicious stuff goes completely unnoticed, almost as if there is a cartel and certain people have certain advantages. Likewise scam and spam on YouTube in the comments, or fake accounts on Twitter. They are busy censoring your content instead. Even Elon Musk complained about it last time. It's just a hell of a time, and I feel like the big companies are really doing their best to piss off all the decent people on the planet.

As I said fakebook is just a propaganda machine and EVERYONE would be a lot better without it.
They do stupid things and none of it is good for us. They programmed us by it. Their timelines are stupid. Its not even in order. a post 1 min ago then next post 2 days ago next post an add, next post 30 mins ago, 6 hours ago, 23 mins ago. WTF!!! Do they know how a timeline works?

And they are stupid to the public and never do what we ask. We wanted a thumbs down icon and what did we get? 6 completely shit ones. Still to this day there is no thumbs down icon and its still needed.

Now with covid shit ANY post that has "covid" or "vax" in it gets a covid check attached saying how save the vax is. THATS THE BIGGEST LIE ON THE INTERNET and its from fakebook.

I saw a post about I think it was Resident Evil and its virus and that had a covid check on it.
Another one was saying about another game, Mario I think? Something that's got absolutely nothing to do with covid but had "virus" in it... Oh, something like "the super mario game is spreading like a virus its so popular at the moment" and that had a covid vax safe attachment to it.

The problem is fakebook is run my computers atm. Its all automatic. There isn't anyone watching them, the computers do it all. if it spots a flagged word it gets that covid check or the virus safe attachment.
If you complain then maybe a person eventually looks at that complaint and fixes up the computers mistake.

Oh, after you get banned 3 times you can no longer complain about anything. The complaining part of fakebook bans you.
So everytime I get banned its a 1 way thing. Sometimes I can say "i dont agree" tick box and hopefully I get unbanned but im flagged. ANY post with ANY flagged word is an instant undisputed ban.

They even admitted it that in some asian country they faked their news, cut and pasted posts so an uprising would happen to overthrow the government. It happened all coz fakebook manipulated the public with their propaganda.

The only problem I have is I have friends on fakebook and thats the only place I can contact them. fakebook itself is complete crap but messenger is needed BUT you still get censored there too.
I used to be able to attach videos without problems. Now I cant post any video longer than 1 min and has to be under 40mb.... BUT I tried to share a 58 sec video thats 4mb and it refused. Told me to "trim it"
and there is a list of websites you aren't allowed to share as well. SO again you have to cut up the links and tell them to fix the links then view the truth.

I joined fakebook about 10 years ago. It was good for the first 2 years. They added ads bigtime then it went downhill ever since. The biggest drop in quality was when it hit the stock market. That was the major start of its decline.

fakebook sucks. If you have all your friends elsewhere then stay there and DONT come to fakebook. its depressing as that way they can control you. If you were happy you aren't controllable, thats why its all propaganda and fake news and no stupid cat videos anymore.

It's just been a difficult decision, I had that heart attack 5 years ago and almost died, or rather it's a small miracle I didn't. Remember? So I didn't want to take any more chances with covid. I'm not a fan of vaccines, but here the positives outweighed the negatives. Just think how much crap you get in your system every day in food, air, water, etc.

After 4 months of lockdown, I returned to work suffering palpitations - put it down to stress going on public transport (4 busses to work per day) it didn’t subside, got worse with heart hammering like a badly loaded washing machine in my chest. Went to docs (yeah first and last Personal face-to-face) past everything put me on antidepressants,Beta blockers. Didn’t work. Off to hospital treadmill and ECG. past test and set record on treadmill! Ambulatory device worn for 72hrs - within a week back in for a stent/angioplasty if needed. Walked into the hospital, walked into the operating theatre-scary as shit!! Wire inserted up right arm, dye put in and I watched my heart bouncing about on a screen. 40mins later 5mm narrowing of artery on heart found. Stent or drugs to be used. I said stent as it was bloody painful. Now -like yourself - on lifetime of statins (atorvastatin 20mg per day lowest dose) and daily aspirin. Result my hereditary high cholesterol went from 6.8 to under 4 (which I didn’t know about) I too have a wife and a life I want to live with her. I’ve had 2 doses of AstraZeneca and one booster of Moderna. Happy as fuck. No side effects and haven’t even had a cold! Meanwhile the hospitals are full of 85% unvaccinated. Yeah Hx, when your mature and have responsibilities, you think to yourself “I don’t give a fuck about Covidiots and how they live, but I do give a fuck about my taxes going into them when they are irresponsible”. If they pay for their stupidly and bed blocking, that’s cool. Otherwise shut the fuck up and stop being immature patronising arseholes. They are costing the world billions - hence why countries in Europe have had enough and making vaccination mandatory. Likewise, companies are starting to not pay sick leave to those that have had no vaccination either. It's more complicated than that. Of course, governments have used the viral epidemic to control people and do dirty deals with public money. On the other hand, I know a lot of people who have had covid and have really badly damaged health and permanent consequences. Fake it certainly isn't, but the way politicians took advantage of the situation is not in doubt. I really didn't have much choice, at home wife and two little girls, every day in the field between clients (I had no limitations in IT services, on the contrary there was more work than before). I also manage IT in retirement homes, I certainly didn't want to infect anyone there and that's why I got vaccinated. And I'm sure I did the right thing. Of course I admit that the vaccine may have some consequences that we don't know about yet, but my body is already so fucked up that there is nothing to go wrong :-)

it still surprises me that some people still say covid doesn't exist. I'm sure if someone close to them died, they'd change their minds. The fact that the hospitals were packed to bursting with covid patients understandably killed a lot of other people who didn't get care in time :-(

Understandably though, I don't know what it was like in Australia. Maybe people there are tougher than here in Europe. I know a lot of young people who have said to me before "hey mate go get vaccinated, it was total hell, I wouldn't want to experience it again....."

It's like you say, bro. As long as I was healthy, I never thought anything would happen to me. I lived healthy, went to the gym, etc. I may have been a role model for a lot of people.
And then boom, you sit down at the computer on a Sunday afternoon and wake up a few days later in the hospital wondering what happened to you. My wife stood by the bedside and said, you almost died.

The truth is, she was the one who saved my life when I fell unconscious in my home office (it was my birthday and our wedding anniversary on the same day), she was the one who kept me alive until the ambulance arrived. I was then taken 60km to a hospital in Prague, in the ambulance my heart stopped 3 times, it was a massive heart attack. The blood was thick as ketchup, because I have too much hemoglobin and narrowed arteries. It's just genetics that no one can control.

Anyway, I must have really good protection up there to still be here. Some angel must be watching over me :-) Thank him for that. I then had a second operation 3 months later, I got 3 stents in total. It's good that they do this really well in Prague.

Now of course any severe flu can cost me my life too, so any arguments against vaccination seem silly to me. But young and healthy folks have them because they think they are immortal, just like I once thought.

So, buddy, take care of yourself. Our families need us, as a father, a husband, but also as a source of livelihood. And times are tough, who knows what's coming. But I'm gonna be positive, and I believe everything's gonna be okay.

Ive been in hospital, last time was october as i was a few days off death and i can tell you the msm lies about all of it.

Yeah I too had a close one. After 4 months of lockdown, I returned to work suffering palpitations - put it down to stress going on public transport (4 busses to work per day) it didn’t subside, got worse with heart hammering like a badly loaded washing machine in my chest. Went to docs (yeah first and last Personal face-to-face) past everything put me on antidepressants,Beta blockers. Didn’t work. Off to hospital treadmill and ECG. past test and set record on treadmill!

It's like you say, bro. As long as I was healthy, I never thought anything would happen to me. I lived healthy, went to the gym, etc. I may have been a role model for a lot of people.
And then boom, you sit down at the computer on a Sunday afternoon and wake up a few days later in the hospital wondering what happened to you. My wife stood by the bedside and said, you almost died.

The truth is, she was the one who saved my life when I fell unconscious in my home office (it was my birthday and our wedding anniversary on the same day), she was the one who kept me alive until the ambulance arrived. I was then taken 60km to a hospital in Prague, in the ambulance my heart stopped 3 times, it was a massive heart attack. The blood was thick as ketchup, because I have too much hemoglobin and narrowed arteries. It's just genetics that no one can control.

Anyway, I must have really good protection up there to still be here. Some angel must be watching over me :-) Thank him for that. I then had a second operation 3 months later, I got 3 stents in total. It's good that they do this really well in Prague.

Now of course any severe flu can cost me my life too, so any arguments against vaccination seem silly to me. But young and healthy folks have them because they think they are immortal, just like I once thought.

So, buddy, take care of yourself. Our families need us, as a father, a husband, but also as a source of livelihood. And times are tough, who knows what's coming. But I'm gonna be positive, and I believe everything's gonna be okay.

I was here when it was Game Guru with the 3 shotgun barrels logo? Was that you or someone else?? We *were* immortal in our own eyes. Life was great - you hadn’t even had your kid yet! I was working in a job that I was burning 9-12miles a day - right up to lockdown and I was furloughed for this terrible 4 months. When the cardiologist told me I had cardiovascular disease. I just couldn’t accept it “me, fit as hell. Never smoked, eaten fry ups or a heavy drinker and in a physical job” He just said it’s a “western disease” which pretty much sums it up. Genetics and parents descendants. So that’s us mate. Forever to have lifestyle changes and to be marked for life. Ironically I waited 4 months for my operation. I could have had a full blown heart attack- like yourself - as I hadn’t even been diagnosed until I was on the operating table! I take it you are on statins and aspirin for life?
How is your wife, it must have been bloody traumatic-and what about paying it back “thank god it’s your wife!” You know ‘sit down darling, I’ll do the dishes, hoovering and cooking’. Lol .couldn’t have a better buddy than your wife.
When I went in to hospital my wife couldn’t even visit -covid. So I sent her the picture of the blowup wrist compression over the artery in my right hand and she was ‘shocked’ and didn’t even expect me to have an op. It took 5hrs to stop the bleeding because (you’ll know) the blood thinners. Just insane sitting in hospital thinking, I had just walked in here then I’ve had a metal stent inserted in my heart……:shock:
There was a guy opposite me who had basically exploded blood all over his bed as an artery had ruptured in his groin due to buildup of blood pressure. Fitted with only the 3rd pacemaker in the whole U.K. and was out before me! Crazy…
Anyway, it’s amazing to have been here so long and to have gone through the same and to share experiences.

Young people are brain washed with social media. That never existed in our generation and that’s why we find it hard that people are incapable of thinking for themselves anymore. It’s very sad. Everything is propaganda, likes and followers - none of which exist in the real world. Very few mates to go round the park couple times a week for a game of football or out hiking up a mountain with a tent for the weekend.
The only thing that caught our attention as young adults was A.I.D.S.
Even then it just taught us to be more careful. Very few of us were idiots. Glue sniffing and the usual alcohol ( i didn’t do the glue but made a fool of myself at my sisters wedding with alcohol - I had just turned 18) I loved being a teenager going into an adult. Meeting mates or dates at a particular place on the Main Street- payphones lol. Funny how we could all keep perfect time, all without a mobile and social media. It’s such a worse addiction than drugs that holiday homes anywhere *must have wifi* otherwise there’s no holiday.
