Marking the series', and indeed Codemaster's, debut on current-gen platforms, this year's annual F1 title will be racing onto PS4, Xbox One and PC on June 12th. Unlike previous entries which were traditionally released in September just as the championship was coming to a close, this means F1 2015 will coincide with the current F1 season much earlier. F1 2015 will run on a new version of Codemasters' EGO engine built specifically for the current-gen platforms. Of course, the extra horsepower of the new consoles means you can expect greater visual fidelity than ever before, which you can see for yourself in the work-in-progress screenshots showcasing some of the new 2015 cars and the Mexico track, but it's not just the visuals that have been overhauled. Encouragingly, Codemasters place a firm emphasis on what should be the most important aspect to racing game fanatics: the physics. Over 20 areas of the handling model have been tweaked and enhanced, including engine and transmission, aerodynamics, fuel tank, force feedback, suspension and also a brand new tyre physics model.
