- Microsoft Launches Windows XP - Software giant Microsoft Corp. officially launched the latest version of its flagship product Windows
on Thursday, kicking off a $250 million marketing campaign with flashy events in New York
and London. + Microsoft has posted some updates for Windows XP on the Windows Update
- WindowsXP and activation that comes with it - What is it exactly
Microsoft
wants to stop? Well, at an OEM builders conference I attended recently, they tried to
push the idea that say you're a vendor who sells a PC, with Windows pre-installed for
1000$.
- Windows XP Review - Gamespot Hardware has posted a review
on Windows XP.
- Tips and Tricks for Windows XP Professional - Everyone loves tips and tricks especially when it comes to a new OS. Well, MS didn't
want to get left out in the cold on this one so it brought up its own Tips and Tricks page
directly related to Windows XP.
- Win XP Service Pack 1 is BS - According to WinOSCentral,
"Of course you can try them if you want but as the site states it may make your XP PC
MORE UNSTABLE so my recommendation is to stick with the MS Windows
Update site as your source for updates and patches"
- Symantec Norton SystemWorks 2002 Review - Tweakers Asylum has
posted a review on Symantec Norton SystemWorks 2002.
- DirectX emulation for Linux - WinE or WinEx is a m$ directX emulator for

Extreme Tech have a very good article (though 3days old), in which they compare GeForce 3
Ti 500/200 with new ATI products Radeon 7200/8500.
- Visiontek Xtasy 6964 Review - 3D Spotlight has posted a
review on the Visiontek Xtasy 6964 video card which based on the GeForce 3 Ti500 chip.
- Norton & McAfee Definition Updates - The Norton Antivirus 4.0/5.0/2000 Definition Update (2.8MB) has just
released, release date October 24, 2001 and McAfee VirusScan 4.x/5.x DAT file update 4167 has been released too.
- Tipa P ISDN Terminal Adapter WinXP Drivers - Allied Data has
posted Windows XP drivers for their Tipa P ISDN Terminal Adapter.

- VIA Audio Drivers 1.30a For AP266/KT266 Chipsets - Although I
mentioned yesterday some French link for these drivers, here is better link to VIA Audio Drivers 1.30a.
These drivers are for onboard sound found on most VIA based motherboards. This is version
1.30a and is designed for the VIA AP266/KT266 chipsets.
- Hercules WinXP Audio Drivers - Hercules have released some new
Windows XP compatible sound drivers for the Game
Theatre XP and Fortissimo II sound cards.
- Via 4in1 drivers 4.35 - VIA have released some new 4 in 1
drivers for Win9x/2k/ME/XP version 4.35. Doh they are driving me crazy, I've updated
