- Asphyr to publish Guild II in North America -
Aspyr Media announced it
has acquired the North American distribution and publishing rights from JoWood
to publish The Guild II.
Developed by 4 Head Studios, The Guild II will be released in the
spring/summer of 2006 for the PC at a SRP of $39.99.
- SWAT 4: the Stetchkov Syndicate movie -
The first trailer for the Stetchkov Syndicate is now available, showing a
minute of footage from this upcoming SWAT 4 expansion pack in production at
Irrational Games.
- Indigo Prophecy US patch v1.1 -
This Atari Support Page offers downloads of
a new patch for Indigo Prophecy, updating the North American edition of
Quantic Dreams' adventure game to version 1.1. The update addresses a handful
of bugs
- Madden NFL 06 Patch v2.0 -
There are new patches (5.45MB) for Madden NFL 06, bringing the US and UK
editions of the American Football sports game by EA Tiburon to version 2.0.
Word is: "This is a roster update that makes the players current as of
11/15/05."
- Tank T-72: Balkans in Fire English patch v1.3 -
There is a new patch for Tank T-72: Balkans in Fire, updating the English
edition of this tank simulation game by Crazy House and Battlefront.com to
version 1.3. The update offers a handful of bug fixes and other improvements.
- Darwinia patch v1.41 beta1- Introversion has released a new
Win32
patch for Darwinia, updating their retro virtual-reality 3D action
strategy game to version 1.41 beta1. The patch adds German language support
and preparations for the upcoming launch on Steam.
- Unofficial Vampire Patch Fixed - There is now
a working
unofficial patch for Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines, again updating
the first-person action role-playing game by Troika Games to version 1.9.
- Call of Duty 2 dedicated Linux server v1.0a -
This is a Linux-specific hotfix and as before the small download contains
the dedicated executable that requires the game data from the Windows retail
game
- New Phoenix Racing client - Mythopoea Games has updated their
client for Phoenix
Racing and will be releasing the final demo in late December. In
the final demo players will be able to choose from one of 30 cars (15 of the
cars are rough drafts) including but not limited to a Shelby Cobra, an Alfa
Romeo, and a Ferrari F360.
- Roma Victor release date - RedBedlam announced the release dates
for
its Roman Empire based MMORPG Roma Victor. The first 1,500 accounts will
be made available during a 'pre-order' phase, beginning on the Ides of
December. The accounts, costing L14.98 each, will come complete with L5 worth
of in-game currency (sesterces). The game's full commercial release will take
place on the Kalends of April '06 when the price of an account becomes L19.98
(which will include L10 worth of sesterces).
- Valve Trying a Non-FPS? - In comments made at the 2005 Digital
Interactive Entertainment Conference in Kyoto, Japan, Robin Walker, Valve's
Design Manager,
stated
that the company is working on "cooperative building games." Walker stated
that an example would be "[building] something like a space ship or a machine
with people online instead of shooting and killing each other."
