HomeLAN - Last time we we did an EVE Online interview we were told there will be over 5,000 solar systems to explore. Can you give us any hints about what specific world players will get to visit? Mike Wallis - This is something we are still considering. We are aiming towards 5,000 solar systems at the launch of the game. But one thing we discovered when we started testing it on this scale was that the universe was so large that sometimes you could travel through multiple systems and not find anybody. Therefore we have been considering the option of reducing the size of the starting, known universe, or limiting access to certain areas of it in the beginning. That way we leave room for expansions later and we also make systems more populated. We're always able to expand the number of systems later by adding new jumpgates and constellations--it's easier to add systems than it is to take them away.
